Winterbourne Bassett Cricket Club was founded in 1983 and is situated in the village of Winterbourne Bassett approximately 7 miles from Swindon, Wiltshire.
Set within a quiet rural village, the players and spectators enjoy views of the Marlborough Downs and local village church.
The club pulls players from the local villages as well as from Swindon.
We are a friendly but competitive club who like to play to win but within the true spirit of the great game of cricket.
The club has a very full fixture list consisting of friendly weekend matches and evening matches in the Swindon and District 2nd Division midweek league.
We are always on the lookout for new teams to play be they local or touring sides. During the transition of moving grounds, we are unlikely to be able to play many home
games in 2007 so will be delighted to play away from home
